Post office motto: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Evidently flooding does keep the mail away. No mail pickup or drop off today on our street. UPS, they got through...US Mail...not so much.
Pool over flowed today. Learned that when the pool overflows, that it laps up next to the house and deck like a little lake, so cute...NOT! Got the hose out and am suctioning out the pool.
The rain has let up some, but more is on it's way. I do think the worst is almost over. 15 hours straight rain, 13 of it really heavy... I'd estimate over 4 inches but can't say for sure.

My pool was also full to the brim and when the wind picked up it had mini tidal waves. Luckily for me it is not as close to my house.
Kelvin actually had a good commute from Mountain View but hit closed roads when he tried to take Watsonville from Monterey.
My trip to the grocery store was equally as exciting. :)
